Foo Fighters Concert

The north-American band is composed by Dave Grohl (ex-drummer of the band Nirvana, and current singer and guitarist of Foo Fighters), Nate Mendel (electric bass), Pat Smear (ritmic guitar), Taylor Hawkins (drums) and Chris Shifflet (lead guitar).

The reason of their returning to our land on the 15^th of January, after their last arrival in Lollapalooza’s 2012 edition, is that they’re making the world tour to promote their eighth album titled “Sonic Highways”, which will be able in the 10^th of November, in two physical editions, a CD and a 180-gram vinyl, which will have 9 different covers, including each city in which they have recorded.

They’ll perform at the Estadio Naconal, 9 p.m, in which the tickets price will vary from 30.000 chilean pesos (the cheapest) and 150.000 the most expensive one, prices that have angered the public opinion due to their very high value, comparing to other countries.

Real Madrid V.S Barcelona: a classic that can be historical

The next Spanish derby will be played next Saturday in Santiago Bernabeu Stadium. This is one of the most expected match of the year which shows the beautiful game of Barcelona and the class of Real Madrid.

If the Argentine Lionel Messi scores, he will be the maximum scorer in the history of the Spanish League Soccer, equaling the mark of Telmo Zarra who is currently the maximum gunner of the Spanish League in history with 251 goals.

Illegal BIP Charges in Chile

One of the most recent events in our country, Chile, is illegal publish transportation card charges.

It was found out that people were getting money into their BIP cards without actually paying money.

Pablo Pizarro was the person that did this, he created an app in Android were you could type an amount of money and the code of your BIP and it would credit the money onto the card.

The government reacted quickly to this problem and blocked nearly 20 thousand BIP cards, most of them being student cards for college students.

Even though this wasn’t an actual crime, the government is now declaring it an informatics crime and Pablo Pizarro is now a criminal being chased by the law.

OSCAR DE LA RENTA IS DEAD

Oscar de la Renta was one of the most renowned clothing designers in the world. He became internationally known in the 1960s as one of the couturiers who dressed Jacqueline Kennedy. He was diagnosed with cancer in 2006. Oscar De la Renta died of complications from cancer on October 20, 2014, at the age of 82.

“All You Need is Love”

“All you need is love,” with the special participation of “The Beetles” with 2E.

Last 4^th and 5^th of October, in Manuel de Salas Theater, there was a presentation of contemporary dance. The dancers were all from the company of that school, except of one dancer that was professional.

The choreographer Vannia Villagrán worked with the students on the setting of this show. They danced all the Beatles album “Love”.

It was a beautiful experience of music and contemporary dance.

Halloween is coming…

The typical activities include the famous Halloween trick-or-treating and costume parties, plus bonfires, visiting haunted houses, pranks, reading scary stories, candy and horror movies.

The productors of the movie “Annabel” reveal paranormal events that occurred during the filming

Speaking to “The Hollywood Reporter” Leonetti, the director of the movie, said that two supernatural things happened during the recording of the movie. The first incident occurred when the recordings were prepared in the old apartment where John and Mia Gordon lived. In one of the windows of the place, three fingers appeared drawn in the dust that was on the glass.

“Our devil in the movie, has three fingers and three claws. The marks were being backlit by the moon. I have a picture. It was sick,” Leonetti said.

The other incident occurred when a scene where a janitor of the building, where the protagonist couple lived with her daughter, was chased by a demon rolled. Producer Peter Safran called it “much worse” because it injured a person. “We shot in this awesome, old apartment building near Koreatown and things went a bit funky (…) When the concierge was placed near a lamp, it broke and fell on his head,” said.

Apple’s chief executive visited China and was disturbed by the group of web information monitoring, Greatfire.org, who said the Chinese government was involved in sophisticated and extensive illegal access to Apple users’ data in the country.

Making Standardized Test Preparation More Fun!

8th graders and 10th graders have been visiting the English Experience Hub to complete practice activities for the PET and TOEFL with their English Teachers. The students have said the HUB provided a more relaxed and interactive environment for them to feel less bored and more engaged with the sample problems, whether oral or written. The 10th graders especially enjoyed creating sentence diagrams to better understand questions about whether the meaning of sentences with slightly different wording have the same meaning.

4 police officers attacked in New York

On Friday, October 24, a man attacked four police officers in New York City. The man has not been recognized yet.

Two of the police officers are injured, one of them was stroked in the head and the another one was attacked in the arm, they are completely safe, no vital risk.
