Do you want a Lego version of yourself?

If you love LEGOs like I do, you should visit the new LEGO store in the United Kingdom. They have some amazing things there, which you can learn about in the link below. The most amazing is the Mosiac Maker. It is like a photo booth you might see at a wedding, but instead of printing your picture, it immediately produces a box with the legos you need to make a LEGO mosiac of your face. You use a sample picture and then have to build the picture for yourself, using legos of 5 colors. It might take a long time, because every box comes with 4,502 pieces! And it will take a lot of money too… after you fly to the UK, you still have to pay for the portrait: 99 British Pounds, or about 80.000 Chilean Pesos. Would you buy one? If I am ever in that area, I will definitely be tempted.

Have You Ever Wanted to fly?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AUq3mBuENiw

You will not believe what this guy in Canada has invented! It’s a hoverboard that allows him to fly by steering with only his feet, and using a pair of pliers as the accelerator. He recently set a new world record for the longest flight ever on a hoverboard by traveling almost 1000 feet during the 90 seconds that the batteries last on this current model. With his new company, perhaps you will be able to buy your own in a couple of years. Would you dare to fly?

Stephen Hawking said that machines will submit us in 100 years

The famous genius Stephen Hawking, said at an interview with TechWorld that we should be careful because machines are able to submit us from here to a hundred years long.

He also claimed that we shouldn´t worry about who controls the technology but we should worry about the fact that if is it the technology controllable.

In my opinion, Hawking is overreacting about something not probable. I think it´s not a clever supposition but the world takes it in mind because of his previous achievements.

A Japanese man was sent to prison for making guns with a 3d printer

by Augusto Llull (9th grade)

A 28 year old Japanese man was send to prison with a term of two years, for making two pistols at home with a three-dimensional printer.

After his arrest Yoshitomo Imura admitted the facts, and said he knew his actions were illegal.

Shortly before his arrest, Imura posted online a video showing the weapons he created with his 3D printer, which quickly alerted the police.

3D printers create objects made of plastic or other materials with data provided by a computer.

In Japan, models for the general public are sold from about $ 575.

What does Weather sound like?

That’s the question some musicians in New Orleans wanted to answer, and they built a synthesizer to turn weather data (temperature, wind, rainfall, sunrise and sunset, etc.) into sounds. They were inspired by the fact that many blind people are unable to establish sleep patterns because they do not perceive the changes of sunrise and sunset.

Would you listen to this background noise to find out what the weather is like? Or use it to wake up or go to bed if you were blind? In any case, it is a very interesting project that brings together art, music, and technology.
