ONE RING TO RULE THEM ALL: EPIC GOOD VS EVIL FIGHT

During the XX century the cinema studios have been rising massively making films which became classics movies in the full list of genres. also the cinema adapt famous novels into movies in examples like JURASSIC PARK, Jaws, Hunger Games, The great Gatsby, Harry Potter and many others. But today i will tell you a movie which became one of the most famous movie of all time. THE LORD OF THE RINGS: THE RETURN OF THE KING. based on the famous novel of J.R.R Tolkien. The movie is the third of a trilogy directed by Peter Jackson between 2001 and 2003.

Before this movie were two very successful movies. THE FELLOWSHIP OF THE RING and THE TWO TOWERS. The plot of the third movie is the Following; all begins in a flashback of the story how the hobbit Smeagol became GOLLUM ( played by Andy Serkis). And after that the movie continue the journey of Frodo Baggins( Elijah Wood) to destroy the ring of Sauron with his buddy Samwise Gamyi ( Sean Astin). Meanwhile the rest of the fellowship need to prepare to fight because the orcs will attack the men city of MINAS TIRITH and after gave time to frodo for destroy the ring. But not everything is good in this journey, there will be monsters and treason to arrive to Mount DOOM at evil kingdom of MORDOR.

in this movie there are too many actors like: ORLANDO BLOOM ( LEgolas), Viggo Mortensen ( Aragorn ), IAN MCKELLEN ( GAndalf ), BIlly Boyd ( PIPPIN ) and many others who bring this movie to the great nomination of the ACADEMY AWARDS. There the movie won 11 oscars ( including best picture ). However Peter Jackson film after a trilogy of another novel of J.R.R Tolkien : THE Hobbit. So what are you waiting for, watch the movie where you are and travel to the middle earth to enjoy this good vs evil fight .

THE END OF THE YEAR IS COMING: ACTIVITIES AND MORE

As everyone knows, this last time has been doing the end activities in every academy. In October there were so many activities like the Secondary Music Presentation, Elementary Music Presentation, Chorus Concert and too many others activities to say goodbye this glorious year and begin the so expected summer vacations.

In the sports academies were exciting finals, The volleyball class became champion of the metropolitan league in both categories. The basketball class became champions of the west league of female basketball. The Football class became champions of the AFUTCOP league in the superior category. The Athletic class receive 10 golden, plate and bronze medals in the NEW BALANCE FINALS tournament.

However, the finals tests will coming and also the ending reunions by grades and generations. In the case of secondary classes, the ETN could be exempt if they have a grade in 6.4 or more. After the finals tests, the students will be out of the school at 12:30 hours everyday( since december 1st ). After that, the school awards will be given in december 13th( elementary ) and december 15th ( secondary). In the end will be the final show ( THE SOUND OF MUSIC)

THE CLASH OF CHAMPIONS: CHILE CONFRONT URUGUAY

As much people knows this time has been the football classifications for the 2018 World Cup in Russia, every confederation is preparing to the challenge and in the South Américan confederation, CONMEBOL, it´s not behind, with multi-champions teams such as Brazil and Argentina.

But today is the turn of Chilean selection to play, the century bi-champion plays against the powerful Uruguayan selection, which won too many World Cups and Copa América throughout its story, however the chilean selection has had too many defeats and draws, only a few victories since the arrival of Juan Antonio Pizzi.

Today the match will be in Estadio Nacional in Santiago De Chile, at 20:00 hours, there will be a paraguayan referee, chilean selection MUST win this challenge to advance in the classification marks and go to RUSSIA world cup, Both teams got special players like Luis Suarez, Edison Cavani (Uruguay), Eduardo Vargas, Gary Medel (Chile).

ITS TIME TO GO TO OPERA: CHORUS CONCERT TODAY

This time there has been some presentations to the parents from the students of each groups, this shows was the elementary concert, secondary concert and too many others, also there will be a presentation of the theater class between thursday 10th and Monday 14th till the FESTIVAL in Verbo Divino School.

But today is the Chorus concert, where 130 students will sing some classics songs, this show will be at 19:30 hours in Sala Comunitaria Room, the main group is composed by students from the chorus class. directed by teacher Alejandro Abarca and will include and orchestra and a Lyric Party.

The show will be divided in two parts. First part is the turn of songs like: Take me to Church, I won´t give up, Don´t rain at my parade and others, Second part is the turn of Somebody to love, Veni Sancte Spiritus and to close a song from the musical movie THE SOUND OF MUSIC: Climb every mountain.

DO, RE , MI : SAY HELLO TO THE VON TRAPP FAMILY

As is common, in december will be the Final Party show where students of all grades will participate during a musical. the show is a tradition of the school to start summer vacations and say goodbye to the last year. The show has been some famous movies or plays like DISNEY CLASSICS, GREASE, LA PERGOLA DE LAS FLORES, etc…

But this year will be the turn of THE SOUND OF MUSIC, the classic story of the austrian novice who went to the mansion of a captain who is widower with seven children to take care of them. In the story there was some problems like the baroness, the funny uncle and of course the nazi german invasion to Austria.

The theater team will do a casting to everyone who want to be part of the staff( principal roles). Probably the elementary students theater will be include in the official cast but that is not  really at all. The casting will be tomorrow in the theater, the dialogue is published on the school page. The songs this time will not be translated as the previous years, will be still in english.

Happy 36th anniversary CPH CJA

Last friday was the anniversary of our dear school and to celebrate it the school stop the classes and make the students wear normal clothes. also there was some activities that we will explain in the next paragraphs. despite of the day, the exit hour continue in the same time for every day, that mean from 8:30 hours to 15:45 hours .

First of all the day start  with a mass directed by the priests Agustin Moreira and Hector Guarda, the entire school assist and  there the retire teachers and personnel have the special goodbye, the followings persons are getting retired this year: Yazmin Valdes, Patricia Alegria, Soledad Toro and Veronica Rodriguez.

After the mass the school sand the HAPPY BIRTHDAY to the school in the Ceremonial Ground, Then were musical presentations in the Communitary Room. First was the turn of the Media students, second was the Basica students show. The musicians was students who are in the music course of the school.

Then was the lunch in the sport grounds where all grades ate in community, to end the day was a Funny Dance activity and the sports afternoon with all the school in sports such as Basketball, Football, Dodgeball, Volleyball and German Rock-Paper-scissors. it was a great day for everyone

HOORAY FOR THE ENGLISH DAY 2016

Last Thursday was the ENGLISH DAY 2016 where the school is divided between many countries that were the followings: USA, United Kingdom , New Zealand, Australia, Ireland, Nigeria, Bahamas, Canada and South Africa. The judges were special guests from the United States and also the alumnus Felipe Lorca. During the day were  many activities that will be explained  in the next part.

The elementary  students had a music festival where they sang to their families, then was the parade of the nations where the vice presidents hold the flags and walk with the elementary  students around the stands. After that the fair continue with the musical representation in the stage and the games in the sport ground. Also there was a bagpipe player during the turns.

In the end the champion country was SOUTH AFRICA and the people who were dressed like their country stayed with it after the ending of the ENGLISH DAY. we hope that the students enjoyed the english day in all it aspects. So the next year will be better and there will be too much activities to enjoy and play don´t matter of your grade or age.

YO HO YO HO THE ENGLISH DAY HAS COME

Since the opening of the english hub the school community has aided some special event known as the ENGLISH DAY, the first english day was on 2014, the second was on 2016, the countries change every year with differents topics, this year is the turn of the sailing around the world theme and will be in october 6th , during the middle day ( until 12:00 hrs)

There will be tour guides and special games to the younger classes, those activities will be managed by 11th and 12th grades students. the countries this time will be the followings : Ireland, United Kingdom, Bahamas, Australia, USA, Canada, New Zealand, Nigeria, South Africa and India. like every year, the events will be on the sports camps and the gym .

To conclude the event will be start during 8:30 to 9:15 with the musical programs (1st to 6th grades), then will be the parade of nations during 9:15 to 9: 30 , and then ( from 9:30 to 12:00 ) will be the World Fair to all grades. So lets enjoy it and say like Captain Jack Sparrow always said

SEPTEMBER IN THE SCHOOL : THE PARTY IS COMING

As everybody knows September is the month where Chilean National Parties take place during the time between September 18th and 19th celebrating respectively the National Day and Armies Day. Some of the events are TEDEUM, fondas and Military Parade, but our school do some activities to celebrate this time of celebration, let´s see the activities.

First of all the basic grades (1st to 6th) have the Chilenity Day where the students wear national dances suits in styles like Rapa Nui, Chiloe, Aimaras and the classic cueca. also they have the chilean games in the sports sector, visit of chinchineros, organilleros and the chilean police (CARABINEROS). in the end the teachers gave they an empanada or a sopaipílla to eat. The rest of the school have normal classes.

Second the whole school have the School Week, a competition where the school turn into 4 alliance during Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. This event got too many activities like the earlies test, sports morning, Voice Festival, Car Races, Fondas, Evening themes and many others. However the School Week have judges and animators who often aren´t the good person you expected.

Then, the next week is the September Vacations during the whole week to prepare for the last period of the semester.

SEPTEMBER IS A MONTH TO CELEBRATE, SO LET´S DO  IT

FAMOUS MEXICAN SINGER DIES: REST IN PEACE JUAN GABRIEL

Last weekend happened something sad, the famous singer Juan Gabriel died by a heart attack during his world tour in United States. the important people around the world gave their condolences to the family of the singer who died in his 66 years. the condolences where expanded throughout social networks like tweeter and facebook, no matter their country or reason.

the following people gave condolences via tweeter: Don Francisco, Adal Ramones, Enrique Peña Nieto, Victor Manuelle, Edgar Vivar, Ricky Martin, Luis Fonsi, Marco Antonio Solis and many other people, in the United States the president Barack Obama gave the condolences too. The funerals will be in Los Angeles and have a tribute to the famous artist.

Other famous people who died recently are the Argentinian Gustavo Cerati, the english David Bowie, the American Muhammad Ali and the mexican comedian Roberto Gomez Bolaños, so we said our sorry to all the people who died this year saying.
