In Japan, Hell is due North

Japan’s northernmost island of Hokkaido is known for a few things: beer in Sapporo, skiing in Niseko, ubiquitous uni (sea urchin) and beef.
Lesser-known is the isle’s sulphurous, belching and bubbling Jigoku-Dani, or Valley of Hell, a 24-acre geothermal crater that formed from the eruption of Mt Kuttara some 20,000 years ago. Located within Hokkaido’s Shikotsu-Toya National Park, where roiling lava pits and simmering black sulphur calderas quietly lurk under a thick blanket of snow, it certainly might sound like a vision of hell to some. But Jigoku-Dani, 112km south of Sapporo, is also many people’s idea of heaven.3742107823_69c3dcba5a_z

Earthquake affects earth atmosphere and also the size of Mount Everest

Scientists warn that the telluric movement didn’t expel all the energy, and they are waiting for a mega earthquake.

The last April 25th, Nepal suffered a terrible earthquake that involved more than 7.500 dead people, and 14.400 injured people. But this didn’t affect just material and human losses but also effects in nature.

The earthquake generated airwaves that penetrated the superior area of the atmosphere waving electrons in the ionosphere. But this not enough…

Experts said that there’s still seismic pressure that needs to be free and it’s still in the region and theres about 10-15 metres of movement.

Nepal is located in one of the most risky places for earthquakes: the techtonic places of Asia and India, that crush 2 cm per year.

Finally the other effect that this catastrophe had is about mount Everest.

Experts said that the mountain decreased it size around 2,5 cm and move 2 meters horizontally.

Ukrainian President said that 7.000 people have died in the Ukrainian conflict

Petró Poroshenko said in the Parliament that 1.675 Ukrainian soldiers have died for their country and “for their inevitable victory”.

The President blamed the aggressive policy of their neighbor country (referring to Russia).

Petró Poroshenko said everything to the Ukrainian Parliament in a special session for the conmemoration of the 70 years since the end of World War II. Ban Ki-Moon, UN Secretary General, also attended the session and said that the UN suports Ukraine.

The situation in Ukraine has become worse the last days, and the separatist forces accuse Ukrainian soldiers of violating the ceasefire.

Operativo Social of the stundents of 10 th grade

On April 24th and 25th the students of 10 th grade had their “Operativo Social”, that took place in the small town of Culipran, Melipilla.

In the company of their 12 th grade mentors and their teachers, our students repaired 13 houses of very poor people, to protect them from the rain and the cold of winter, completing a community service activity with some of the poorest people of the society.

This experience was very beautiful, because all the students had the chance to share with different families that had completely different lives. Also they had the possibility of having a moment of reflection and meeting among themselves.
