Fernando Alonso is leaving Ferrari

By Matias Mahave (9th grade)

The Spaniard has been with Ferrari since 2010. He never won the championship with Ferrari but has always been in the podium

Fernando is leaving for two reasons: one is that he wants a new environment, and the other is that he is an age where he cannot wait to win again.

Alonso is deciding between joining Mclaren, who had made a huge offer for him. Or taking a year off and waiting to find a seat on Mercedes on 2016.

“La Roja” have a bad match against Bolivia

by Juan Pablo Borgoño (9th grade)

This game ended in a draw 2-2. For Chile, Aranguiz and Vidal made the goals and for Bolivia’s goals, Carlos Saucedo. Chile in this match had many problems with the defense, because the 2 goals were defensive errors. In the middle they are very confused and very slow to attack the other team. In the front, they were very good, so fast, but as the other part of the team was playing so badly they had to defend much of what they had to do and it detracted from the attack and scoring the goals needed.

For that Alexis Sánchez, talked to the press and was very angry about the functioning of the team and that a player to give that deep pass was needed and so we can easily get the goal and this work, like Jorge Valdivia, Matías Fernández and David Pizarro, but these three players are no longer in the team.

The coach from Chile, Jorge Sampaoli, said Bolivia played very well, very fast, and they did not waste any scoring opportunity and in the work of Chile said “We lost many opportunities for goals, but we were very disorganized in the game and we couldn’t fix it, that’s why we have to prepare ourselves well for the 2015 American Cup.”

High Schoolers in Georgia Make an Inspired Choice for Homecoming King and Queen

NBC News reports that teenagers at a High School in Dunwoody, Georgia–in the Southern United States–showed that not every high school is full of bullies and exclusion. Watch the inspiring video below about this school’s project to include students with special needs, and the inspiring result.

“Homecoming” is an important tradition in American High Schools–it is a weekend in the Fall which features a football game, a formal dance for students, and of course, voting for a “Homecoming King and Queen.” Being chosen for this honor is something many students dream of, and if they win, will remember for the rest of their lives.
