THE CHALLENGE CONTINUE: THE DEBATE HAS COME

Last week was the start of the students center campaigns and there was too many events like the lists presentations and the lists recesses. the first one was last Tuesday and part of Wednesday, because that day, list 1 present their video and gave a speech to the audience, however list 2 tried to do the same but the computer was too old to reproduce the video and stop it before the important part, but on Wednesday they can do it and everybody applause to them.

On Thursday and Friday was the lists recesses where both lists made games to the students and some funny dance, list 1 recess was in CPH playroom and it has too many sports activities, on the other side list 2 recess was in CJA playroom and it has too many activities like Twister Game, bowling and the classic  funny dance .

But today is the Debate between both lists where  they will compare their ideal and projects and try to convince the students to vote for them, however both lists have to speak louder and clearly because if they don t do it the ideas won t be in their hands, also they have to defends them with diferents arguments and counterargument depending of the question and idea they are talking about.

LETS SEE WHO WILL WIN THE DEBATE

Anniversiary of Nuclear Explosion in Chernobyl

Today is the 30th anniversary of the nuclear explosion in Chernobyl, the worst nuclear disaster in history. This nuclear explosion was in 1986 and it is believed that it was caused by the malfunction of this machine and the negligence of workers. This town is now abandoned because it is very dangerous (the radiation is very strong). This radiation causes malformations and possible deaths (if you are exposed).  This town is located 3 km from the city Prypiart, the Ucrania today. The people who had been in this explosion , never measured the damage and the consequences that would bring this up today.

Too many years after, Disney decide to make its classics with real actors and make movies such as CINDERELLA, MALEFICENT and ALICE IN WONDERLAND, but this year is the time for THE JUNGLE BOOK and its has a good cast like Bill Murray( Baloo), Ben Kingsley( Bagheera ) and actors like Scarlett Johanson, Idris Elba, Christopher Walken and Lupita Nyong, Neel Sethi has the role of Mowgli .

However its release is darker and more profound than the animated one and got differences, also its has the most famous songs of the movie with differents lyrics ( THE BARE NECESSITIES and I WANNA BE LIKE YOU), the characters looks good and they seem like Nat Geo documentary animals. It was released in Chile on April 7th and will be released in USA on April 15th.

last friday in the second recess while the preeschoolers and kids garden students were took, a pitbull scape from its owner and entered to the school running  everywhere , several kids fright and scream because that dog specie is know for its killer bit. the situation calms when the inspectors take out the dog from the school and took it back to its owner .

in the school also some students want to leave the school because of the menace of that pitbull screaming:¡ Dog, Menace, We will go home!. everybody was frightened of the dog in the first time but after the bell ring the students went to the classroom and still scared, the fear was forgotten in the 3rd recess.

Congratulations on an Amazing English Day

Our English Day festivities were a perfect contrast to the cloudy skies above on Monday, November 2nd. First, students from 1st-3rd grade performed popular folk and children’s songs from the UK, Ireland, Australia, and the USA. Then we opened up the International Festival–a transformation of our sports fields into a showcase of 10 English-speaking countries prepared by the students from 3rd-11th grade.

Champions League: Could Arsenal stop Bayern Munich?

It’s the question that the top teams across Europe are asking themselves — how can Arsenal  stop Bayern Munich?

The German giant is absolutely flying — it has won all nine of its Bundesliga games, scoring 29 goals in the process.

Bayern is already seven points clear of nearest challenge Borussia Dortmund and has won both of its games in this season’s Champions League.

On Tuesday, it plays Arsenal in London with the English club needing to win in order to remain in the competition.

Alexis , has scored 10 goals in 6 matches between Arsenal and Seleccion Chilena.

Arsenal is in the second place in the list of England Premier League , the team is having a great moment.

So, can Arsenal do what no other team has done so far this season and stop Bayern?

The Chilean Students Confederation called to mobilize on October the 6th

On October 6th a  march will take place in Santiago, pressing the Ministry of Education to discuss free education in our system.

Valentina Saavedra, the president of the Students Federation of the University of Chile, said  “the minister doesn’t have clear ideas about the objective of the reform”.

The students hope the decisions that will be made, will be centered on making  public education stronger.

English Day Was Moved!

Our expected English Day that was taking place last Thursday 24th of September, was change because of the bad weather that we got that day. Unfortunately, it was moved to the next 9th of November so now we need to wait a lot longer to enjoy it.

In my opinion, it is a sad that the English Day was moved because everyone was expecting it but in the other hand, if this change allows it to be better, it is also necessary.
