The Olympic games are one of the most important sports competitions, all the athletes from around the world participate in variety of competitions. The Olyimpic games are considered to be the world foremost competitions with more than 200 nations participing.
Their creation was inspired by the ancient Olympic games, which were held in Olimpia, Greece, from the 8th century to the 4th century.
The evolution during the 20th and 21th centuries has resulted in several changes. Some of thes adjustments include the creation of the Winter Olympic Games. The International Olympic Committee has had to adapt a variety of economic, political and techonlogical advacments.
The games are only each four years for example 2000 and the next in 2004.
