Today one 8th grade history class came to the Hub for an engaging lesson about the American Revolution. They practiced relevant vocabulary with quizlet.com,
listened to a lecture about the path to independence,
they analyzed propaganda from the rebellious colonists,
and considered both the American and British perspectives.
They created their own Declaration of Independence together by writing on the windows,
and sorted arguments for and against independence.
They also worked to interpret the original Declaration of Independence–which is very challenging to read.
And they did all of this in English! Great job 8th graders!
